When you spend enough late nights digging around YouTube, you think you’ve seen every possible variation of the classic rock band. Then the algorithm throws a curveball that makes you stop scrolling immediately.
I stumbled across a Japanese performance group called Bozestyle, and I am fairly certain they take the crown for the strangest three-piece unit on the internet. These guys aren’t hauling around a massive double-bass Ludwig drum kit. Instead, these guys strap custom pads directly onto their shaved heads and play live head-percussion by tapping out beats in perfect sync. It sounds completely ridiculous on paper, but when you watch them lock into a groove, it is hard not to also think it is completely ridiculous on video.

Their entire mission is built around self-deprecating humor, bold bald pride, and tight rhythm. What caught me off guard is that they aren’t just miming to pre-recorded tracks. They actually wire up their headgear with electronic triggers, working through intricate arrangements of anime themes, pop hits, and classic rock music entirely live.
