NEW YORK — A 26-year-old woman died Friday after she fell from a fire escape while trying to get onto the roof of a five-story apartment building in Manhattan, investigators said.
Tyler Marie Thorp was visiting her friend when they tried to climb onto the roof around 1 a.m. and she fell, WABC reported.
She was found unconscious in the apartment courtyard, the New York Post reported. First responders arrived and pronounced her dead at the scene. An autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death. Foul play is not suspected.
She is the second woman to fall from a roof in the last week.
Cameron Perrelli, 24, fell between two buildings during a party around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, WABC reported. She tried to climb from the rooftop to the roof on the next building when she fell seven stories and died, The Village Sun reported.
