In a news release, the Simi Valley Police Department said on Saturday around 5:30 a.m., officers were called out to a Papa John’s Pizza about a burglary after a security guard patrolling in the area noticed that the shop’s front window was broken.

Once officers arrived at the scene, they found Sheila Williamson, 61, inside the shop, according to KTLA.

Officers learned that Williamson used a metal table to hit the window, police say. Once Williamson got inside, she threw cleaning chemicals all around the store.

Williamson was found in the bathroom by officers and she was arrested, KTLA reported.

While officers were there for the burglary, they saw a man who was later identified as James Schmidt, 52, leaving through the back of a business in the same building, the news outlet reported.

Police say Schmidt was arrested and charged with squatting. The squatting and burglary incidents were unrelated, police confirmed.
