Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Loganville: one man was killed and another injured. Gwinnett County Police say they were shot while sitting in a car in Loganville. There was no immediate word on suspects or motive.

A murder followed by a confession sends a Cobb County man to prison. Court officials in Marietta say Miguel Floyd confessed to strangling 36 year-old Ericka Stewart in her apartment in May of 2019. Her body was found in the parking lot of a Cobb County Apartment. Floyd will serve at least 30 years behind bars before he becomes eligible for parole.
There are DUI charges for a teenager in Long County, where the Georgia State Patrol says 18 year-old Catherine Poppell drove her car into a crowd of people at a bonfire near Ludowici. At least one person was seriously injured, requiring hospitalization and surgery.
