Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the Account Executive will be to get appointments with local and regional business owners and decision makers, discover their specific company goals and challenges and then create strategic integrated marketing plans based on their individual needs using CMG's on air, online and onsite advertising assets that will be made available.
The Account Executive will be responsible for developing and growing their specific clients as market conditions continue to change and evolve over time.
This position will work closely with all internal departments including production, creative, traffic, promotions and programming to ensure client expectations are exceeded.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have outside sales or relevant experience and possess a basic understanding of multiple forms of advertising including SEM/SEO, socail media advertising, digital display ad networks, special event and sports marketing, as well as traditional mediums such as radio.
The Account Executive must have a self-disciplined work ethic as an individual and also work well as part of a team.

The Client Services Coordinator supports the efforts of the Advertising Sales Team and facilitates all functions of the Account Executives. This role provides a valuable link between the Account Executives and the other internal departments that help execute the deliverables to the advertising clients of Cox Media Group. It is the Client Services Coordinator's responsibility to create an environment that allows for a smooth flow of communication between all parties in the sales transaction. This position must have the ability to provide the Account Executives with a feeling of trust, assurance and competence, while being able to prioritize and get things done in a timely manner. The Client Services Coordinator handles all administrative needs to fulfill all aspects of an advertising campaign. The responsibilities are many, various, and not limited to those provided here and can change on a daily basis.
Oversee all administrative duties necessary before and after the sale to include client setup, order entry and revisions, production orders (both radio and digital), missing commercial copy, coop facilitation, promotional requests, collection support, traffic liaison and annual contracts.
Assist Account Executives in creating, processing and facilitating radio and digital advertising proposals for products and services such as SEM, SEO, Display Ad Networks, Yext, YouTube, Social Media Advertising, Website Development, etc.
Join Account Executives on in-field, face to face appointments with clients/prospects in a support role when necessary.
Generate sales reports, aging reports, Target Account tracking and any necessary administrative reports.
Be able to pull data from various online tools to provide a complete picture of traditional and digital ad delivery (impression delivery, click through rate, campaign creative, budgets, etc.) for campaign recaps
Design and update sales collateral to be used in the field by the Account Executives.
Enter prospect and customer information into customer relationship management software.
Provide support to the Director of Sales and Digital Media Specialist as required.
Serve as part of a rotation of employees that assume front desk responsibilities during lunch hour.
Must be disciplined and detail oriented.
Must be able to prioritize administrative responsibilities.
Strong verbal communication skills and excellent written communication skills
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Working knowledge of a variety of online measurement tools (Google Analytics) is preferred

CMG-Athens is home to the top 6 radio stations in Northeast Georgia/Greater Atlanta, including the flagship stations for UGA sports. We are looking for someone who comes in well-prepared daily to connect with relatable family-friendly content for a primarily female 25-44 audience. You must be conversational, entertaining and have fun when you work solo. The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of on air experience plus a sharp understanding of how to interact with listeners via social media without stepping over the line. Superior social media skills are a necessity and the new Morning Show host will adapt to the ever-changing digital landscape. Must have familiarity with the various social platforms and be able to use daily-this includes but is not limited to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Magic 102.1’s new morning host will also make excellent use of phones and do stellar personal appearances in the local community. Daily production duties are part of this role and solid skills with knowledge of Adobe Audition is essential. Must be able to plan ahead, take direction, be disciplined when delivering content and detail oriented. Strong verbal communication skills are a must. You will have responsibilities within the cluster that go beyond one station, so it is essential you are a team player. The person that fills this position will also run the control board, take transmitter readings and maintain all standard studio operations. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. The person we hire for this opening could also grow in the programming department in the future or within the company. CMG-Athens continues to be a launching ground for talent within our company.
