Prince Harry’s book will be called “Spare” and will be released on Jan. 10 after being first announced last year, The Associated Press reported.

Penguin Random House, the publishing house releasing the book, said the book was written with “raw, unflinching honesty” and had “insight, revelation, self-examination, and hard-won wisdom about the eternal power of love over grief.”

He said when the book was announced that it would show “the highs and lows” and be “accurate and wholly truthful,” BBC News reported.

It is being called a “tell-all,” The Washington Post reported.

Buckingham Palace said it will not comment on the book, both the Post and BBC News reported.

“Spare” was announced after Harry and his wife Meghan stepped down from being working royals to become financially independent in 2020, well before the death of Queen Elizabeth II and Harry’s father’s ascension to the throne as King Charles III.

The book was delayed from late 2022 to early next year because of the death of Harry’s grandmother. Some thought the delay was also because he was not comfortable with the potential consequences of speaking out about private matters, the Post reported.

This is not the first time that Harry and Megan have divulged what it was like being part of the royal family. First, there was the sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey. They’ve also launched projects with Netflix and Spotify, the Post reported.

The book is 416 pages long and will be published in 16 different languages. There will also be an audiobook read by Prince Harry himself.

Some of the proceeds from the book’s sale will be used for British charities, including Sentebale and WellChild, BBC News reported.
