Final season of ‘Ozark’ to be split into two parts

Netflix’s crime drama “Ozark” has been renewed for a 4th and final, two part season with 14 episodes.

The Netflix drama that launched in 2017 staring Jason Bateman, Laura Linney, Sofia Hublitz and Skylar Gaertner will have more episodes than previous seasons. Season 4 will have 14 episodes but will be split into two parts, each with 7 episodes, according to Deadline. Seasons 1 through 3 only had 10 episodes each.

“We’re so happy Netflix recognized the importance of giving ‘Ozark’ more time to end the Byrdes’ saga right. It’s been such a great adventure for all of us — both on screen and off — so we’re thrilled to get the chance to bring it home in the most fulfilling way possible,” showrunner Chris Mundy told Variety.

The dates for the season have not been announced. According to The Hollywood Reporter, production for various Netflix series have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
