The seller is Tennessee-based HCA, which still operates hospitals in Augusta, Savannah, Waycross, Dublin and Vidalia. Its expected to sell Redmond Regional Medical in Rome to a Florida company. Once the one billion dollar deal closes at the end of July, Piedmont will have 15 hospitals. Emory and Wellstar each have eleven.
