Stevie Nicks Lets Miley Cyrus Mix In “Edge Of Seventeen” To A Cyrus Tune, Soulful Or Sacrilege?

Stevie Nicks lets Miley Cyrus use part of “Edge Of Seventeen” in the Cyrus tune “Edge Of Midnight”.

Back in August Miley Cyrus released a single “Midnight Sky”.

Cyrus reached out to Nicks to try and get permission to release a mix of her song with Stevie’s “Edge Of Seventeen”.

According to Ultimate Classic Rock Cyrus said she told Stevie it was meant to be “kind of like pay tribute to you and your greatness and how much you’ve inspired me, And she said, 'You can borrow from me anytime. Everyone looks up to Stevie Nicks, but having that direct relationship has been, you know, kind of life-changing and just so important.”

This shouldn’t be that much of a surprise, in the past Miley has covered a bunch of rock tunes.

She’s covered bands like Blondie, Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, The Eagles and Metallica.

The remixed version of “Midnight Sky” now known as “Edge Of Midnight” is below for you to check out along with Stevie’s original “Edge Of seventeen”.

Would you call this soulful or sacrilege?
