Keith Richards (The Rolling Stones) says they will never retire. In an interview with the rock mag Rolling Stone, he said “I really can’t imagine doing anything else,”..."You might call it a habit. I mean, that’s what we do.". He added ‘Who’s going to be the first one to get off the bus?’ You have to be kicked off or drop off, right? So it’s like that,".
In a different interview with BBC Radio 2, he revealed that The Stones were working on a new studio album until the coronavirus interrupted the project. In April, fans were surprised with a new song from the Stones, “Living In A Ghost Town”, which was recorded for the new album. According to Keith Richards, the song “came from a first bunch of things we recorded for this album. But because of all of this… the virus… it’s screwed up any plans you could have had”. When asked if he had talked with frontman Mick Jagger, “Yeah, all the time, exchanging ideas. But, I’d rather be looking you in the face, man.”.
As the project develops, we’ll keep you up to date.
